Sýkora, Jan ; Špačková, Petra (advisor) ; Jíchová, Jana (referee)
Holešovice district is part of Prague inner city, which currently represents one of the most physically and socially transforming locations of the metropolis. However, changes of the socio spatial structure often lead to increasing social polarization and enhancement of social inequalities. This thesis deals with contrasts between different social worlds in Holešovice. Firstly, long-term development of socio spatial structure is observed through analysis of quantitative statistical data. Secondly, residential locations of different social groups are identified on the level of statistical units in the area of lower Holešovice. Finally, social contrasts, daily rhythm and interpersonal interactions are examined through field survey.
